steelhead live. Its construction makes it tough as nails, yet still permits it to move seductively

1 Start by placing the hook in the vise, then attach the tying thread directly behind the eye
using several tight wraps. Trim off the waste and select two strands of leg material that are
twice as long as the complete hook. Position them so the strands point out the front and back
of the shank. Bind them to the hook while wrapping to the back of the shank. Tie a strand
of copper wire to the back of the hook to later use as a rib. Leave the thread hanging at the
