St. Croix Legend Elite Rods
St. Croix's top-of-the-line Legend Elite Series is getting a major redesign for 2008. Nineteen
new models-12 freshwater and seven saltwater-will be offered. All are 4-piece designs built
in Park Falls, WI using St. Croix's proprietary Integrated Poly Curve tooling and Advanced
Reinforcing Technology.
Freshwater models are now lighter than their predecessors and get a new Gallatin Green paint
job. Three- through 6-weights ($410 to $440) are fitted with REC aluminum reel seats with maple
inserts, Fuji Alconite strippers, and hard-chrome, single-foot guides. Seven- through 10-weights
($450 to $480) get hard-chrome snakes and all-aluminum REC reel seats.
Saltwater models, spaning line weights 6 through 12 ($450 to $520), are painted in Belize
Blue, feature Max-Power butt sections to maximize casting and lifting abilities, and are fitted
with Fuji MN Saltwater Alconite strippers and oversized, hard-chrome snakes. Check out Booth

Ross Essence Outfits
Ross Reels' Worldwide Division has teamed up with Mel Krieger to design a new series of
three top-performing Essence fly rods, and they're offering two of them in outfit form with a
Ross Worldwide reel pre-spooled with a quality fly line, backing and 9-foot tapered leader.
Also included is an instructional DVD by Mel Krieger, Beginnings-An Introduction to
