Rising Visor Beanie
Dylan Rothwell, the bright light behind Rising's
innovative product line, tells us how Rising's new Visor
Beanie came about.
"We first saw this style cap on snowboarders and immediately
hated them. Then, after four days of British
Columbia winter steelheading,
complete with driving
snow, we came
to appreciate the
visor. Once we
embraced the
concept, we tweaked
the bill and perfected the
yarn blend. The visor is the perfect length-not as long
as a baseball cap, not as short as a bike messenger cap. It's
long enough to keep the rain and snow off your face, and
short enough that it is still a beanie. Given its purpose,
we knew we needed wool. The 30% wool/70% acrylic
blend is the best combination between awesome wool
warmth when wet and lame-ass wool itch when hot.? See
it at Booth 470 ($25), or contact Rising, Dept. FFA;
