Orvis Saltwater All-Rounder Wonderline
The new Saltwater All-Rounder from Orvis is a full-floating, Generation 3 Wonderline
optimized for saltwater applications. These 100-foot lines are built on braided multifilament
cores to minimize the problem of line-coil memory—and the ungodly tangles that result—in
cold water and/or cold air conditions. Saltwater All-Rounders feature weight-forward,
compound tapers designed to load rods quickly with minimal false casting, turn over heavy
flies, and throw long casts in windy conditions. For surf casters, the All-Rounder’s hard,
super-slick, Wonderline Generation 3 outer coating brings friction to its knees, and insures
that your fly will shoot out past the second (maybe even third) wave train. That same hard
coating also means that the line won’t turn into a limp noodle in tropical conditions. Available

Cortland Precision Sub Surface Quick Descent
Cortland’s Precision Sub Surface Quick Descent integrated-head has become our
“go to” line for stripers whenever the fish are holding at or below five or six feet, or on
ebb or flood tides when there’s a significant current running. The beauty of the Precision
Sub Surface is its combination of high-density sinking tip with a 6 to 9 i.p.s. sink rate
(depending on grain weight) and intermediate-density running line with 1.5 to 2 i.p.s.
sink rate. The intermediate running line sinks slower than the high-density tip, but fast
enough to prevent the big catenary you get with floating running line. Built on fairly stiff,
solid-monofilament cores, with Dur-A-Slik outer coatings, these 125-foot lines shoot like

RIO OutBound Integrated Shooting Taper
RIO’s OutBound Integrated Shooting Taper is one of the most versatile series of cold
water integrated heads available. Their 37.5-foot heads—which are heavier than AFTMA
standards to load rods with little or no false casting—and ultra-thin, no-tangle running
lines make these 120-foot integrated heads the distance-casting champs of the genre.
Built on RIO’s supple, braided Powerflex core, they include welded loops at the leader
end. OutBounds are offered in 39 line-weight combinations in six different head densities:
floating, Hover (1 i.p.s. sink rate), and intermediate (1.5 to 2 i.p.s.) with floating

saltwater lines is the new Ridge Striper Intermediate from Airflo. Built on a zero-memory,
low-stretch, braided Power Core with a super-tough, low-memory Polyfuse polymer
coating, this is the most tangle-free sinking line on the planet—a quality that every
angler who uses a stripping basket will readily appreciate. Like all Ridge lines, the Ridge
Striper Intermediate has a series of tiny ridges embossed into the outer coating that run
the entire length of the line, only the peaks of which contact the guides during the cast.
