Cortland Precision Little Tunny
If you’re only going to have one clear intermediate line, you won’t be disappointed with
Cortland’s Precision Little Tunny. Sometimes referred to as the Little Tunny ACI (“all conditions
intermediate”), these 90-foot, weight-forward, intermediate-density lines are equally at
home in fresh- or saltwater, warm or cold, and their clear camo coatings—random patterns of
clear, light brown and light green shading—do an outstanding job of rendering them invisible
to fish in any water conditions, and against any bottom types. Precision Little Tunnys sink at
a consistent rate of 1.5 to 2 inches per second, allowing a reliable count-down to the proper
depth. Priced at $65, Precision Little Tunnys are available in line weights 8, 9 and 10, and are
the perfect choice for everything from bass, to stripers, to—you guessed it—little tunnys. Contact

Scientific Anglers Striped Bass Fast Sinking
In today’s era of exotic multi-tip and integrated head sinking fly lines it’s easy to forget
about the utility of the original article—the plain old full sinker. Clear intermediates
have eclipsed full sinkers in shallow water applications, but there’s no getting around
the fact that—by design—they only sink at an average rate of about 1 i.p.s. in saltwater
(a bit faster in fresh). Scientific Anglers’ Striped Bass Fast Sinking line ($63.95) is a
full sinker with powdered tungsten in the coating that will get your flies down deep
quickly, even when there’s a current running. Built on braided monofilament cores
in line weights 7 through 11, they feature short heads to load rods quickly without a
lot of false casting, and sink at up to 6.5 i.p.s. in saltwater. Contact 3M Scientific
