Bite Primal Flats
Bite Footwear’s Primal Flats was designed with one
purpose in mind: wading the flats—all types of flats, from
hard-sand, to coral gardens, to crotch-deep sucking mud.
The uppers are made from a light weight (18 oz. each),
quick drying combination of Durahide synthetic leather,
high-filtration polyester mesh and neoprene. Hard toe
boxes and heel counters provide impact protection, while
their non-marring, sticky rubber outsoles have a complex
tread pattern designed to provide non-slip traction on any
boat deck or bottom type. Other features include integral
neoprene gravel guards with full-height side entry and web
top strap (both with Velcro closures), mesh drainage vents,
removable EVA foam/mesh OS2 insoles, and shock-cord
lacing system with web strap to lock the heel into the heel
pocket. Available in sizes 7 through 13, they sell for $89.95.
