If you’d like to tussle with some of the largest
pike, lake trout and arctic grayling in all of Canada,
Scott Lake Lodge is the place to do it. Located on
the 60th parallel on the border of Saskatchewan
and the Northwest Territories, 25-mile-square
Scott Lake—with over 500 islands and countless
shallow bays—may be the best combination
trophy pike and lake trout water in Canada. And
fly-out access to some of Canada’s largest arctic
grayling makes this a triple-trophy destination.
Scott Lake Lodge guests land over 1,000 trophy
pike (over 40 inches) and lake trout (over
35 inches) every year. During June and early
July, lakers are mixed in with pike in the shallow
bays, and 42-inch trout and 50-inch pike can be
caught within sight of the lodge dock. If you’re
after trophy grayling (20 inches +), fly-out destinations
in Saskatchewan and the NWT typically
produce 40 to 60 grayling per day in the 12- to
20-inch range. And the lodge’s barbless hook,
catch-and-release policy insures that the fishing
just gets better every year. Accommodations are in
the lodge, or in newly renovated log cabins with
heat and modern baths. And the food is just out
of this world. The 2008 season runs from June 6
through September 14, with 3- through 10-day
packages priced from $3,695 to $6,995, including
round trip airfare from Saskatoon. For more
information, or to book a trip, contact Scott Lake
Lodge online at www.scottlakelodge.com or
